Welcome to You Are a Work of Art | Podcast Trailer
You can love your life and still feel a little lost inside of it. You can be grateful for your family, your work, and everything you’ve built—and still wonder, Where did I go?
I know that feeling. In this trailer, I share a little about the season when I felt like I was sleepwalking through my own life, and how paying attention to my needs—and making things with my hands—helped me reconnect with myself.
Sometimes I made something beautiful. Other times, I definitely did not. Either way, creating gave me space to think, process, dream, and express myself again.
A little about the podcast
Hosted by coach and artist Monique Burton, You Are a Work of Art is a podcast for overwhelmed working women who want to reconnect with themselves through creativity. We talk about life, creative self-care, and making space for what matters.
We’ll have honest conversations about the lives we’re living, the parts we’re still figuring out, and small ways to make room for ourselves. And yes, there will be flowers.
You don’t need to consider yourself an artist to be here. If you’ve been longing for a little more of yourself in your own life, you’re in the right place.

You can love your life and still feel a little lost inside of it.
You can be grateful for the people you love, the work you do, and the life you’ve built—and still wonder:
Where did I go?
I know that feeling.
There was a season when I was doing everything I needed to do, but I wasn’t actually present. It felt like I was sleepwalking through my own life.
I knew I had to start paying attention…so I did.
To what I needed, what wasn’t working, and to the parts of myself I had stopped making room for.
Creativity was one of the ways I found my way back to myself.
Sometimes I made something beautiful. Other times, I definitely did not.
But that wasn’t really the point.
Creating with my hands gave me somewhere to put what I was carrying. It gave me space to think, process, dream—and express myself again.
Over time, I came to believe something deeply:
You are already a work of art.
Not finished. Not perfect. But worthy exactly where you are.
You can love the life you have (or perhaps maybe not…) and still make space for more—for yourself, for creativity, for parts of your life you want to explore.
Sometimes that space is found in the margins.
A few quiet minutes.
Something made with your own hands.
Enjoying flowers on the table.
Creating in the margins is often where a life begins to bloom.
And…did I mention there will be flowers?
They’ve found their way into more chapters of my life than I ever expected.
And somewhere along the way, they started teaching me a few things too—that life has seasons, growth takes time, and sometimes something beautiful is taking shape before we can even see it.
